Happy holidays, super mario 3D land part one, and return to anime next in 2012

Well folks, I am sorry I had most posted for a while I was very busy with my personal life. Now onward I would like to review of a fist impression of the game Super Mario 3D Land For the Nintendo 3DS.  The reason It would be a first impression is that I had only mostly completed half of the game already. Well lets begin the review:
From the first world of the game it felt very nostalgic of the Mario games in the past.  For example the controller layout is a sort of mixture between the classic Mario games and the Mario games that exist today.  Another show of nostalgia is that there is a mixture of classic enemies and entirely new enemies that Mario would gave to face off against. One other thing that is interesting is the return of the Tanooki (raccoon-dog in English) costume that Mario uses in super Mario bros 3 and the boomerang suit that Mario has also used in super Mario bros 3.  As for some of the down parts a person who plays this game would have to use the L/R buttons to go through pipes in this game instead of just pressing the down button.

One other issue I had seen So far would be the part with the way that they had let the user change the 3D of the console by using the D-pad to change it instead of the L/R buttons.  I personally think that it would make more sense to use the D-pad as another option to control Mario because it would give a nostalgic feel to users who played past Mario games.

An Summery of the positives and negatives would consist of:

  • A feeling of nostalgia for people who played the Mario video game series and welcomes new players to the series.
  • a few issues with the button layout that could be over looked by getting used to the game play.

Over all I would strongly suggest that this game is a must buy for any person who is a fan of the Mario game series and who owns a Nintendo 3DD system because of the exciting game play that would keep you playing for hours on end.

On other news I am planning on going to anime next on 6/8/12 to 6/10/12 and a fan I Hope to see any one who reads by blog there. Untill the next post, Cya later ^.^

Kamen rider Fourze

Well I had just seen the first episode of the latest kamen rider series names kamen rider fourze. So far I think the series looks pretty good. Although there are a few typical high school stereo types that and the helmet design has had bothered me a little but it is nothing I would get over.  My favorite thing about this hero is how he uses switches to use powers to take down adversaries.  Well this series is to early to say anything about so You might as well watch the episode and see what you think and I will leave you with this image:

Anime review: Appleseed

Hello again people, I was working on another blog at the time for a class in college.  Well any way , time to review the anime titled Appleseed.

The genre of this anime was Science fiction and it is based of the graphic novel created by Shirow Masamune which created other series that were in the same genre. An example, of this would be the Ghost in The Shell series.  The reason that there is a similarity between the two series is because there is a mention of replacing human body parts with cybernetics.  A difference between those films is that in Ghost in The Shell talks about cybernetics to a greater extent and Appleseed explains about creating humans by a computer.  Well back on to Appleseed the story is pretty calm with flashbacks of the main protagonist fighting in a global war.  Those same flashbacks are used to tie the story together.

The only issue I had was with this film was the CGI.  It is true that the CGI is a nice addition to the film but I felt that making this version of the film in 2D would do a better service.  Although the drawing style is kept the same, to me the CGI slowed the character movement for the film.
Over all I think the anime Appleseed is a great anime to watch and it looks updated from seeing images that were created my the original manga artist.  Although The CGI in the film could be easily replaced with a 2D style. The story is similar yet different to ghost in the shell.  So in the end I would recommend this film to people who are fans of Shirow Masamune and science fiction anime.  I would not recommend this film to people who are fans of CGI.  The reason why I would suggest this anime to people who are fans of Shirow Masamune and science fiction anime is because this is an updated version of one of his works and remind people of his other works.  The reason would not suggest to people who are great fans of CGI is because I think this film would of been better In 2D or a mixture.  Well than I hope you readers enjoy this review and check out the film if your interested ^.^
